Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a challenging year, winning just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and finally parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies the Russian has secured twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"For the first time I am participating in a competition with my both daughters at once, so to win a championship is really nice," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my child Alisa was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament in the past months.
His defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on court had prompted some to question if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
But the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to come to the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the concluding five points to take the lead.
The pair traded break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour title, gained dominance to force a final set.
He rescued four early-game break points in a close third set before the Russian broke to that score to secure the win.
Appropriately, he earned victory with a rally at the net area, with Moutet failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
